Use the electronic directory just like a phone book.
The categories in the electronic directory are just like those in the phone book, and you can search for a listing in the same way. Categories are alphabetical.
Check your spelling.
The electronic directory
does not check for spelling errors. If you enter a misspelled
word, the directory cannot adjust for spelling and will
return results that most closely match the criteria
you enter. As a result, you may be unable to find your
desired listing.
Make sure you are searching in the proper directory.
If you cannot find the listing you desire, you may be searching in the wrong directory or section. Make sure you have accessed the correct directory in the Directories tab.
Try an alternate directory.
If you searched in one directory and didn't find a desired listing, try another directory in a nearby community, or try a directory with a larger number of listings.
View the entire page.
If you are using a magnified view, the directory page may extend below the bottom of the window. Use the scroll bar to make sure you view the entire page and any listings that may be at the bottom of the page.
Refine your search.
If you can't find the exact listing you desire, your search may be too broad. Try narrowing your search criteria to display listings that most closely match your desired listing.
Try alternate categories.
If you can't find a category, or if
you can't find the listings you want under one category,
try an alternate category with the same general meaning.
For example, if you searched for listings under "car,"
also try "auto."
Don't use punctuation.
Punctuation such as hyphens, commas, periods, colons, semicolons, and quotation marks can limit your search. Omit these to get the best possible results.
Avoid searching for brands.
A brand search will retrieve listings or categories that begin with that brand name. It will not give you an actual category for that brand of products. For example, if you are interested in buying a Ford automobile, you should search for "auto" and look through the listings for dealers that sell Fords. You should not enter "Ford" as your search criteria.
